Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl and using electric mixer beat eggs with 1c icing sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Stir in 1/4c melted butter.
  3. Whisk together flour, baking powder and salt and stir into egg mixture.
  4. Stir in walnuts, dates and candied fruit.
  5. Spread in greased 8 square cake pan.
  6. Bake in centre of 350 oven for 30-35 minutes or until top is golden and firm to the touch.
  7. Let cool in pan on rack.
  8. To make the icing:In bowl beat 1/4c butter until light.
  9. Gradually add 1c icing sugar until fluffy.
  10. Spread over top of cooled bars.
