Cherry Cobbler Dessert

Ingredients:

  • 1 (14 1/2 oz) can cherries, pitted
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 4 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup milk

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Grease a 9 square Pan.
  3. Drain Cherries, Save juice.
  4. In a sauce pan over medium heat, combine sugar, salt & cornstarch, mix together.
  5. Slowly add the cherry juice.
  6. Cook, stirring constsntly, until clear & thickened.
  7. Remove from heat & add butter & almond extract.
  8. Mix Bisquik & milk to make dough.
  9. Place Cherries in sq. pan & spoon dough on top.
  10. Pour sauce over all.
  11. Bake for 25 minutes.
