Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. For the waffles: Cream butter,sugar and vanilla in a bowl until fluffy.
  2. In a small bowl bowl,combine remaining ingredients.
  3. On low speed of mixer,beat dry ingredients into creamed mixture(mixture will be crumbly)
  4. Transfer to a resealable plastic bag,store in refrigerator.
  5. For coffee syrup: Combine coffee and sugar in a heavy medium saucepan.Stirring constantly over medium high heat,cook mixture until sugar dissolve.
  6. Without stirring,bring mixture to a boil,and boil 2 minutes.
  7. Remove from heat,cool to room temperature.
  8. Store in an airtight container in refrigerator
  9. To give as a gift include the serving instructions:
  10. Preheat waffle iron.
  11. Transfer bag of waffle mix into a medium bowl.
  12. Add 3/4 cup water and 2 eggs.
  13. Stirr just until blended.
  14. For each waffle,pour about 2/3 cup batter into waffle iron.
  15. Bake 3 to 5 minutes.
  16. Serve hot waffles with coffee syrup
