Directions:

  1. Cook rice, then drain. Add rice to fresh ground turkey and mix thoroughly. In the meantime add 1 inch or so water to dutch oven, add head of cabbage (with middle cut out) and steam until leaves fall off easily. Then add meat mixture to one leaf at a time and roll up. Place 1/4 sauerkraut and tomatoes on bottom of crockpot. Place cabbage rolls on top and top with more sauerkraut and tomatoes. repeat layers. Slow cook for 6-8 hours. Makes 12 cabbage rolls. May also add seasonings of your choice and add onions if desired.
