Ingredients:

  • 8 slices of baon cooked and crumbled
  • 1 red oninon to taste
  • 1/2 to 1 cup of raisins , depending on your tastes
  • 8 oz sharp cheddar cheese cut into small cubes ( i have used shreaded also, to taste)
  • 1 cup of mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp of vinegar ( i have also used apple-cider )
  • 1/4 to 1/2 cup of sugar (depends on how sweet you like it)

Directions:

  1. Rinse broccoli flowerets well and then cut into bite size pieces
  2. In a large bowl combine broccoli, bacon, onion, raisins, & cheese
  3. In a small bowl combine remaining ingredients, stirring well
  4. Pour dressing over broccoli mixture and toss together
  5. I prefer to chill about an hour before serving, but it is great served immediately
  6. NOTE: I also like to add shreaded carrots from time to time. Nuts would be good also.
