Banana-macadamia Nut Bread

Ingredients:

  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 3 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup buttermilk
  • 1 egg

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a loaf pan; set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, combine all ingredients, except nuts. Beat at medium speed for 30 seconds or until dry ingredients are just moistened. Stir in nuts. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan.
  3. Bake for 60-70 minutes or until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean. Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then remove form pan and cool completely on a wire rack before slicing.
  4. Makes 1 loaf.
