Ingredients:

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 lb butter, softened (2 sticks)
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. In a large bowl sift flour, baking soda and baking powder together.
  3. Add remaining ingredients and blend well.
  4. Dough should be soft.
  5. Roll dough out onto a floured surface until approximately 1/4-inch thick.
  6. Cut dough into desired shapes and place on lightly greased baking sheets.
  7. Bake at 350° for 10-12 minutes.
