Ingredients:

  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda

Directions:

  1. Ream butter & sugar together.
  2. Add egg.
  3. Mix dry ingredients, sifted once, add a little at a time.
  4. Add vanilla.
  5. Roll into small balls about the size of a walnut.
  6. Flatten with fork or spoon (Optional: Sprinkle color sugar on top before baking for xmas colors, easter, 4th of July, etc.).
  7. Bake at 350 degrees for about 10-12 mins or til lightly golden brown.
