Mustard Based Central South Carolina BBQ Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 3 tbsp peanut oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup catsup
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ginger
  • 1 pinch salt

Directions:

  1. Combine ingredients and set aside.
  2. Grill meat (do not add anything). During the last 4-10 minutes baste with this sauce.
  3. Boil the remaining sauce and spoon 2 tablespoons onto each plate, adding the meat portion.
