Ingredients:

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp salt (optional)
  • 1 cup nuts , and or
  • 1 cup raisins

Directions:

  1. Cover apples with sugar and let stand for 20 minutes, or until makes juice.
  2. Sift dry ingredients.
  3. Add oil, vanilla and nuts and / or raisins and blend into apples.
  4. Spread in 9 x 13 pan and bake at 325F for 40 to 45 minute.
