No dairy or eggs, appropriate for fasting when oil is allowed. Very delicious Ingredients:
4 cups apples, peeled and sliced |
1 cup sugar |
2 cups flour |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg |
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda |
1/2 cup oil |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1/2 teaspoon salt (optional) |
1 cup nuts, and or |
1 cup raisins |
Directions:
1. Cover apples with sugar and let stand for 20 minutes, or until makes juice. 2. Sift dry ingredients. 3. Add oil, vanilla and nuts and / or raisins and blend into apples. 4. Spread in 9 x 13 pan and bake at 325F for 40 to 45 minute. |
