Ingredients:

  • crust
  • 1 3/4 cups flour
  • 1 cup butter, cut into small pieces
  • 1/2 cup confectioner's sugar
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped walnuts
  • topping
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp lemon zest
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/4 cup flour

Directions:

  1. Crust:
  2. Combine flour and sugar, add butter and blend to a coarse, crumbly stage.
  3. Add nuts and press into an ungreased 13 x9 x2 baking dish.
  4. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
  5. Topping:
  6. Beat all ingredients together until fluffy.
  7. Pour over crust and bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes until lightly browned.
  8. Cool before cutting.
  9. Can sprinkle with confectioner's sugar before serving.
