Ingredients:

  • 1 1/4 cups sugar (i put a little less in)
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. salt

Directions:

  1. Heat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Mix sugar, shortening, eggs and honey.
  3. Stir in remaining ingredients.
  4. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie shee or parchment paper.
  5. Bake until light brown, 8 to 10 minutes.
  6. Immediately remove from cookie sheet.
  7. Cool on rack.
