A cure for a sweet tooth. Betty Crocker's Best Of Baking. Ingredients:
1 1/4 cups sugar (i put a little less in) |
1/2 cup shortening |
2 eggs |
1/3 cup honey |
2 cups quick-cooking or regular oats |
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour |
1 cup raisins |
1/2 cup chopped nuts |
1 tsp. baking soda |
1 tsp. salt |
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 375 degrees. 2. Mix sugar, shortening, eggs and honey. 3. Stir in remaining ingredients. 4. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie shee or parchment paper. 5. Bake until light brown, 8 to 10 minutes. 6. Immediately remove from cookie sheet. 7. Cool on rack. |
