Grandmas Green Tomato Pie

Ingredients:

  • add 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 tea vinegar
  • dash of cloves
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp tapioca
  • let this mixture sit awhile at least 1 hour
  • it will make its own juices, and make it easier to mix the spices evenly

Directions:

  1. Put the whole thing in a pie shell
  2. Do not drain juice-
  3. Put 2 tbl butter over the top of tomatoes
  4. And cover with a top crust shell.
  5. Make a few top cuts on the top for steam to release
  6. Bake at 400 degrees for 60 minutes
