Ingredients:

  • 3 large potatoes
  • 1 tsp salt
  • oil (for deep frying)

Directions:

  1. Peel potatoes and cut into french fry strips.
  2. Drop into a bowl covered with water in which the salt has been added.
  3. Drain and pat dry.
  4. Heat oil to 400*.
  5. Fry the potato strips for 1 minute (do this in batches if necessary).
  6. Drain on paper towels.
  7. Cover and refrigerate until ready to use.
  8. To finish, fry the potatoes an additional 2-3 minutes at 400*, until golden.
