Cinnamon Swirl Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup shortening
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 4 cups flour
  • 3/4 cup nuts, chopped
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Directions:

  1. Cream sugars and shortening together.
  2. Add eggs, one at time.
  3. Add lemon juice and vanilla.
  4. Add flour with baking soda mixed inches
  5. Roll dough flat.
  6. Sprinkle with chopped nuts and cinnamon.
  7. Roll up as for jelly-roll; wrap and chill overnight.
  8. Slice thin.
  9. Bake in 350 degree Fahrenheit oven for about 10 minutes or until done.
