Ingredients:

  • biscuit fans
  • 1/3 cup. firm butter or margarine (if you know me at all, butter is the obvious choice)
  • 2 tbsp. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • about 3/4 cup. milk
  • filling
  • 3 tbsp. sugar
  • 1/2 cup. powdered sugar
  • 2 to 2 1/2 tsp. milk

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Grease 8 regular-sized muffin cups.
  2. Mix together flour, 2 TBSP. sugar, baking powder, and salt in large bowl. Cut in 1/3 c. butter with pastry blender until mixture resembles fine crumbs. Stir in just enough milk so dough leaves sides of bowl and forms a ball.
  3. Turn dough onto lightly floured surface; gently roll in flour to coat. Knead lightly 10 times. Roll into rectangle, 12x10 inches. Spread 3 TBSP. softened butter over rectangle. Mix together the 3 TBSP. sugar and the cinnamon; sprinkle over rectangle. Cut rectangle crosswise into 6 strips, 10x2 inches each. Stack strips; cut crosswise into 8 pieces. Place cut sides up in muffin cups; spread layers apart slightly if needed.
  4. Bake 16 to 18 min. or until golden brown. Immediately remove from pan. Drizzle Glaze over warm biscuits.
  5. Glaze:
  6. Mix glaze ingredients until smooth and of drizzling consistency.
