Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup shortening
  • 1 1/4 cups packed brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup pumpkin
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp allspice
  • 1/2 tsp clove
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup dates
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts

Directions:

  1. In a bowl, cream shortening, sugar.
  2. Beat eggs, pumpkin and vanilla.
  3. In a bowl mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, salt, nutmeg,allspice,and cloves.
  4. Stir in creamed mixture.
  5. Stir in raisins, chocolate chips, dates and nuts.
  6. Drop by teaspoons on greased baking sheet.
  7. Bake 350 10-12 minutes till golden brown.
