Ingredients:

  • for the pudding
  • 2 cups pitted cherries,drained (soak over night in liqueur)
  • cherry (or) raspberry liqueur'chambord
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2-1/2 cups flour
  • for the sauce
  • cherry (or) raspberry liqueur'chambord
  • sugar (the) amount depends on how sweet you would like the sauce.

Directions:

  1. Beat butter and sugar together.
  2. Add the eggs,combine will.
  3. Sift flour,and baking powder together,add to the mixture,alternating with cream and liqueur.
  4. Gently stir in the raspberry liqueur,soaked cherries.
  5. Place mixture in molds(I used heart shaped)
  6. Place molds in larger shallow pan,filling up the pan with warm water to half way on the molds.
  7. Place in a 350 degree oven and steam for 1 hour.
  8. Meanwhile, cook the 2 cups of cherries,Chambord,and sugar until thick.
  9. Remove cherry pudding for oven,allow to cool a bit.
  10. Serve with the Cherry Sauce
