Cheesy Onion And Garlic Bread

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon butter in a small skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the onions and garlic; cook until tender and translucent.
  3. In a large bowl, add the milk and egg to the biscuit mix, stirring just until the mix is moistened.
  4. Gently fold in the onions and garlic, and 1/2 cup of the cheese.
  5. Spoon the dough into a greased 9 or 10 inch glass pie pan.
  6. Mix the onion or garlic salt into the 2 tablespoons melted butter and drizzle this over the dough.
  7. Sprinkle dough with chives.
  8. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes.
  9. Top bread with remaining 1/2 cup cheese and continue baking until bread is done, about 5 minutes longer.
  10. Cut the bread into wedges and serve warm with butter (I’ve never found the extra butter necessary).
