Ingredients:

  • 6 tbsp shortening
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350F degrees.
  2. Cream shortening and sugar, add the rest in given order.
  3. Grease a 9 x 13 baking pan.
  4. Pour batter into pan, and bake 25 minutes.
  5. Cool for 10 minutes and then cut into squares.
