Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup bran
  • 1/2 water
  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tbsp vanilla
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk

Directions:

  1. Grease and flour a square pan.
  2. Mix flour, with baking powder and baking soda.
  3. Put water to boil and at that moment add the bran and let it rest until cooled.
  4. Cream margarine, add sugar, corn syrup, eggs and vanilla.
  5. Mix perfectly.
  6. Add bran
  7. Add the flour mix and at the same time add little by little the milk and cream.
  8. Pour into the buttered pan.
  9. Bake for 45 min. at 325F.
  10. Cool.
  11. Cut into squares.
  12. Sift some powder sugar , or cocoa if you like.
  13. Enjoy
