Brandied Cranberry Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1 tbsp orange rind
  • 1/4 cup brandy

Directions:

  1. Combine all ingredients except the brandy in a 3-quart
  2. Casserole. Mix well, cover with wax paper and
  3. Microwave on HIGH for 5 minutes. Stir well. Cover and
  4. Cook on HIGH for 5 to 7 minutes longer, until
  5. Cranberries pop and sauce has thickened. Add brandy
  6. During last minute of cooking. Let stand covered until
  7. Cool.
  8. Refrigerate. Can also be made in advance and frozen.
  9. Makes about two cups.
