Ingredients:

  • 3 1/3 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 2 cups pumpkin
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Directions:

  1. Mix dry ingredients.
  2. Add shortning, eggs,water and vanilla.
  3. Stir in pumpkin.
  4. Pour into loaf pans that have been greased and floured.
  5. Bake at 350 for 1 hour.
  6. Makes 3 loaves.
