Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Cream butter in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy.
  3. Add egg and beat well.
  4. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in a small bowl. Gradually add to creamed mixture, blending well.
  5. Stir in walnuts and coconut.
  6. Shape dough into 1-inch balls.
  7. Place 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie.
  8. Press center of each cookie with finger to form the button.
  9. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes.
  10. Remove to wire racks to cool.
  11. Yield: 5 dozen.
