Ingredients:

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups vegetable oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground cloves
  • 1 cup nuts
  • confectioners' sugar

Directions:

  1. Beat sugar, eggs and oil for 2 minutes and add apples.
  2. Mix the dry ingredients together and beat into egg mixture.
  3. Stir in prunes and nuts.
  4. Put into a greased and floured 10 in bunt cake pan and bake at 325 for 1 hour 20 minutes until toothpick comes out clean.
  5. Cool about 20 minutes and invert onto a wire rack to cool.
  6. Before serving dust with sugar.
