Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup hershey's cocoa
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 cup boiling water
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups unsifted all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 cups (12-oz package) reese's peanut butter chips

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Lightly grease a 13x9-inch baking pan.
  3. Stir cocoa and baking soda in a mixing bowl.
  4. Blend in 1/3 cup melted butter.
  5. Add boiling water; stir until mixture thickens.
  6. Stir in sugar, eggs, and remaining 1/3 cup melted butter; stir until smooth.
  7. Add flour, vanilla and salt; blend completely.
  8. Stir in peanut butter chips.
  9. Pour into pan, and bake for 30 to 35 minutes.
  10. Cool completely; cut into bars.
  11. Makes about 2 dozen.
