Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350. Prepare 2 9 cake pans.
  2. Cream shortening and sugar.
  3. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition.
  4. Add vanilla.
  5. Sift dry ingredients together. Add dry ingredients alternately to shortening mixture with buttermilk.
  6. Stir in nuts and strawberries.
  7. Bake at 350, for about 30 minutes, or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
