Spiced Tea Cakes

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 6 tbsp buttermilk
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp cardamom
  • 5 cups flour

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. Mix butter and sugar until light.
  3. Add eggs, cinnamon, nutmeg and cardamon.
  4. Mix soda with buttermilk and add to mixture.
  5. Add flour small amount at a time.
  6. May be rolled into balls or dropped by teaspoon onto a cookie sheet.
  7. Bake in oven aproximately 10 minutes or until just brown.
  8. ENJOY!
