Ingredients:

  • 2 tsp whole cloves
  • 4 - 3 in. cinnamon sticks
  • 1 1/3 cups sugar

Directions:

  1. Drain peach halves, reserving syrup.
  2. Combine syrup, cloves, cinnamon sticks, sugar and vinegar in a medium saucepan.
  3. Bring to a boil, cover and simmer 5 minutes.
  4. Removed from heat, add peach halves and cool completely.
  5. Refrigerate in an air tight container overnight.
  6. Note: Flavor of peaches becomes stronger when stored several days.
