This is an elegant recipe that is great to serve during the holidays or dinner parties. It's simple and delicious! Ingredients:
2 - 29oz cans peach halves in heavy syrup |
2 teaspoons whole cloves |
4 - 3in. cinnamon sticks |
1 1/3 cups sugar |
1 cup white vinegar |
Directions:
1. Drain peach halves, reserving syrup. 2. Combine syrup, cloves, cinnamon sticks, sugar and vinegar in a medium saucepan. 3. Bring to a boil, cover and simmer 5 minutes. 4. Removed from heat, add peach halves and cool completely. 5. Refrigerate in an air tight container overnight. 6. Note: Flavor of peaches becomes stronger when stored several days. |
