Sage Dressing - Crock Pot

Ingredients:

  • 1 loaf stale bread, tore up into little pieces
  • 2 medium onions, diced
  • 1/2 tsp thyme
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup real butter
  • 1 cup milk
  • 5 medium eggs

Directions:

  1. In skillet or saucepan cook the veggies and seasonings with the butter until tender.
  2. Add the chicken broth and simmer for another 5 minutes.
  3. Pour over the torn bread and fold into the bread pieces.
  4. In separate bowl, beat the eggs; then add to the bread mixture and mix well.
  5. Stir in the milk and pour into a sprayed or buttered crock pot.
  6. Cook for 2 hours on low then turn to.
  7. High and cook for another 2 hours.
  8. Very moist and great flavor, not too strong .
