Orange Slice Cake

Ingredients:

  • 2 sticks butter
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 3 1/2 cups flour
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 package dates and pineapples
  • 1 package fine coconut
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tsp soda
  • topping
  • 2/3 cup orange juice

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 250 degrees.
  2. Coat candy and dates with some of the flour. Mix all ingredients together. Place in greased tube pan and bake for 3 hours.
  3. For topping:
  4. Mix together the orange juice and powdered sugar and pour over hot cake. Leave in tube pan to soak up mixture.
