Ingredients:

  • 1 large clean navel orange (peeled, no white pith!)
  • 1/4 cup boiling water
  • 1/2 cup vodka

Directions:

  1. After thoroughly washing a large navel orange with soap to remove all pesticides, dirt, and germs, carefully remove the peel without disturbing the white pith! Chop peel finely in food processor ~ Place chopped peel into a sterile jar and top with boiling water and vodka.
  2. Cool to room temperature and store covered in the cupboard for 3-7 days before using as orange flavoring.
  3. After a week, strain into small sterile bottles. For gift giving, tie each bottle with ribbon and a tag marked orange extract .
