  1. Combine first 3 ingredients in a heavy saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil, stirring frequently.
  2. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla, then crushed cereal.
  3. Transfer mixture to a lightly buttered baking dish. Spread melted chocolate over top and let harden.
