Maple Baked Apples with Toasted Oats and Almonds

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. Combine apples and 2 tbsp of the maple syrup in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Saute until apples are tender, about 10 minutes.
  4. Transfer apples to a 9-inch pie plate and set aside.
  5. In a small bowl, whick together remaining 4 tbsp maple syrup, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  6. Add oats, almonds, and flour and mix well.
  7. Spread mixture over apple slices.
  8. Bake 40 minutes, until top is golden brown.
  9. Cool slightly before serving.
