Linda's Peanut Butter Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup soft shortening or 1 cup margarine
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Directions:

  1. Place shortening and sugars in bowl.
  2. Beat until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs and beat well.
  4. Blend in peanut butter.
  5. In a separate bowl, sift together flour, salt and baking soda.
  6. Stir into the peanut butter mixture.
  7. Stir in the oats.
  8. Form small balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet or drop by spoonfuls.
  9. Press with a fork.
  10. Bake at 350 degrees for about 12 minutes.
