Homemade Butterscotch Sauce

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Combine the sugar and water in a medium pan.
  2. Cook over high heat until the mixture is a light golden brown in color. Remove from heat.
  3. Add the cream and stir until smooth.
  4. Add the butter 1 tablespoon at a time.
  5. Blend well. Can be reheated.
  6. Pour this over the ice cream of your choice!

  8. 1 scoop of Coffee ice cream with butterscotch topping
  9. 1 scoop chocolate ice cream with marshmallow topping
  10. 1 scoop of vanilla ice cream with hot fudge topping
  11. Whipped cream and a sprinkling of chopped salted peanuts and a cherry on top!
  12. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!
