Homemade Butterscotch Sauce |

Mmm, warm butterscotch sauce over 2 big scoops of ice cream! Talk about comfort food! Here's the recipe! Ingredients:
1 cup sugar |
1/2 cup water |
1 1/2 cups heavy cream or manufacturing cream |
3 tb. regular salted butter (do not use margarine!) |
Directions:
1. Combine the sugar and water in a medium pan. 2. Cook over high heat until the mixture is a light golden brown in color. Remove from heat. 3. Add the cream and stir until smooth. 4. Add the butter 1 tablespoon at a time. 5. Blend well. Can be reheated. 6. Pour this over the ice cream of your choice! 7. My Favorite Sundae Recipe! 8. 1 scoop of Coffee ice cream with butterscotch topping 9. 1 scoop chocolate ice cream with marshmallow topping 10. 1 scoop of vanilla ice cream with hot fudge topping 11. Whipped cream and a sprinkling of chopped salted peanuts and a cherry on top! 12. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm! |
