Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Brown hamburger in crisco, drain, set aside.
  2. Can substitute 19 lbs. fresh pork sausage for 1/2 the hamburger.
  3. Using same pot and drippings, saute onions until light brown, add peppers, garlic and cook 1 or 2 minutes. ADD all vegetables, chicken stock, 1/2 of water and sauce. Bring to a full boil covered.
  4. Reduce heat to a 5 or 6 bubble simmer covered. Add 1/2 of spices and simmer covered 1 hour.
  5. ADD remainder of all water, sauces, spices and simmer uncovered 30 minutes.
  6. Prepare garnishes of cheese, onions, cooked beans, cooked spaghetti, basil, sour cream and crackers.
  7. Serve chili with spaghetti on bottom and chili on top=2Way Chili.
  8. Serve chili with spaghetti on bottom, chili on top, cheese on top=for 3Way Chili.
  9. Serve chili with spaghetti on bottom, chili on top, chhese and onions on top=4Way Chili.
  10. Serve chili with beans on bottom, then spaghetti, chili, cheese, onions=5Way Chili.
  11. Add other garnishes as desired for fully dressed chili .
