Gran's Flop Proof Chocolate Cake

Ingredients:

  • 250 ml sugar
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2 tbsp cocoa
  • 125 ml oil
  • 1 tbsp cocoa
  • 250 ml icing sugar
  • 150 ml milk

Directions:

  1. Sift together sugar, flour, salt, cocoa.
  2. Stir to mix.
  3. Add vanilla essence to egg yolks.
  4. Stir together.
  5. Add baking powder to egg whites.
  6. Beat well to a froth.
  7. Add boiling water to oil and stir vigorously into dry ingredients.
  8. Add in egg yolk mixture and stir.
  9. Fold in egg white mixture.
  10. Bake at 180C (350 F) for approximately 30 minutes.
  11. For icing:.
  12. Once cake has cooled down, mix ingredients and ice cake.
