Grandma Sayler's Potato Soup

Ingredients:

  • 4 -5 medium potatoes
  • 1/2 lb bacon
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup cream

Directions:

  1. Peel and cut potatoes.
  2. Barely cover potaoes with water and boil until just harder than you want.
  3. Slice bacon into bite size bits and fry.
  4. When bacon is nearly done add onions and carmelize.
  5. When potatoes are ready remove most but not all the water and add milk,.
  6. Cream, and bacon onion mix.
  7. Bring back to boil and simmer until potatoes are desired tenderness.
  8. Salt and pepper to taste.
