Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup sifted cake flour
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Cream butter and sugar in mixing bowl. Beat in egg,lemon zest, and vanilla.Add flour and mix well by hand. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto a parchment lined or quick release cookie sheet-12 per pan. Bake for about 7 minutes or until edges are brown.Time varies with oven.Cool on cookie sheet before removing.
  3. Makes 4 dozen thin brown edge wafer cookies.
