Ingredients:

  • 1 (18 1/4 oz) package yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/3 cup canola oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 (8 oz) carton frozen whipped topping, thawed

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl, combine first 6 ingredients, and beat on low for 30 seconds.
  2. Switch to medium speed, and beat for 2 minutes.
  3. Pour into two floured ,and greased 9 inch round baking pans.
  4. Bake 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.
  5. Cool for 10 minutes, then remove from pans to wire racks to completely cool.
  6. In a small bowl, beat cream cheese, and sugar until smooth.
  7. Fold in whipped topping,
  8. Place one cake on a serving plate, and top with half of the cream cheese mixture and strawberries.
  9. Repeat with other 9 inch cake.
  10. Store in refrigerator.
