Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. In a saucepan, combine dried fruit, sugar and 1/2 cup water. Cover
  2. And cook on medium high heat until soft and water has
  3. Evaporated. Mash with potato masher. Stir in butter, then
  4. Set aside to cool.
  5. On a floured board, roll biscuits into thin circles. Place 2
  6. Heaping tablespoons filling on one half of dough circle.
  7. Fold over and crimp to seal.
  8. Fry in skillet full of medium high oil, about 365 degrees.
  9. You'll need about an inch of oil depth, so as not to cook too
  10. Quickly. Turn when golden.
  11. Place on paper towels to cool. Mix powdered sugar with
  12. Milk and drops of vanilla to make a thin glaze.
  13. Spread with wooden spoon over the pies. Sprinkle with
  14. Additional powdered sugar before packing/serving.
