Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 3/4 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. With an electric mixer, cream the butter and sugar untill smooth. Add vanilla extract, milk, and the egg. In a seprate bowl, sift the flowr, salt, baking powder, and cocoa powder. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ones and mix until combined. drop chocolate dough by teaspoonfulls onto an ungreased baking sheet, about one inch apart.
  3. Bake for 4 miniutes, take out of the oven and add the jam to the center of each cookie, making a small indentation with a spoon so the jam (or chocolate pieces) dosent run out. top each cookie with a marshmallow half and continue baking another 4-8 minutes. just remember, these cookies will look very soft and underdone but they will still be cooking on the baking sheet After you take them out of the oven.
  4. Let the cookies cool and store them almost anywhere that dosent touch the marshmallow tops, they tend to stick to anything they touch (including plastic wrap) and then you end up with marshmallow-less cookies.
