Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Heat oven to 350.
  2. Melt butter over low heaet in saucepan.
  3. Blend in flour and seasonings.
  4. Cook over low heat, stirring until mixture is smooth and bubbly.
  5. Take from heat and stir in milk.
  6. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
  7. Boil 1 minute.
  8. Add cheese and stir until melted.
  9. Take from heat.
  10. Stir in well-beaten eggs yolks.
  11. Beat egg whites and cream of tartar .
  12. Until stiff but not dry.
  13. Fold in cheese mixture.
  14. Pour into ungreased 1 1/2 quart baking dish set in pan of hot water(1 inch deep).
  15. Bake 50-60 minutes.
  16. Insert clen knife 1 inch from edge to see if done.
  17. Serve immediately.
