Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Beat sugar, melted baking chips & butter in lrg. bowl with electric
  2. Mixer on med. speed until creamy, or mix with spoon. Beat in orange
  3. Juice, vanilla & egg (mixture may appear curdled). Stir in flour,
  4. Baking powder, orange peel & salt. Cover & refrigerate about 1 hr. or
  5. Until easy to handle.
  6. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Shape dough into 1 balls. Place about
  7. 2 apart on UNGREASED cookie sheet.
  8. Bake 9-12 mins. or until set (cookies will not brown). Immediately
  9. Press orange slice piece into center of each cookie. Cool 2 mins.;
  10. Remove from cookie sheet to wire rack.
  11. NOTE: I used mini fruit slices instead of orange slice pieces for a
  12. Very pretty, colorful look!
