Buttermilk Syrup

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 3/4 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 tbsp corn syrup
  • 2 tsp vanilla

Directions:

  1. Place first five ingredients in large saucepan.
  2. Bring to boil and cook for 7 minutes (mixture will foam), stirring to prevent scorching.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
  4. Serve with German pancakes,or waffles,french toast,etc.
